I feel like a kid with no tastebuds at a birthday party. Everyone raving about the cake I can't taste it.

I love folk artists, inimate singers, Swedes, etc. except I'm not falling for Jose. Hopefully, it will click for me one day.

yeah, i can understand that.
i don't think it's as spectacular as everyone else is saying, either. it's decent. he's pretty good. i do like these songs.

but veneer's 'album of the week' status says more about the lack of solid releases this week than it does about gonzalez being counted in the cream of the crop.

still a nice record, though.

I think that the Knife actually did a cover of Jose Gonzalez's song heartbeats?
I think his album is beautiful and can't wait to see him live in July.

What is his song Heartbeats really about? What is the meaning of it? I want to know because it's so beautiful...I'm wondering if I could relate to it but I can't really understand it. I'm not exactly a poet...

I see that no one has responded to curious' comment. I am SOOO interested in knowing the meaning to this song. Does anyone know? I've been scouring webpages for hours.. I havent found anything solid.. Please help :)
