2005 in review (week by week)

alright. so now that 2005 is officially over, here is the first half of 'the camera as pen's best of 2005' feature. my 50 favorite albums will be the second half of it. but first, i give you a week-by-week review of 2005: all the albums that were recognized here as an 'album of the week' and all the albums that i probably would have deemed 'album of the week' had the camera as pen actually existed since the first day of 2005.
as i was looking back and deciding which albums to name 'album of the week' for the weeks prior to the start of this little MP3 blog, i tried to stay as true as possible to what i actually had been anticipating most AT THAT TIME and what i was really listening to most. needless to say, a lot of great records that deserved attention ended up getting swept under the rug simply b/c i could only choose one album per week. so keep an eye out here for my 50 favorites next, to see if there were any other records that ended up catching my ear, despite not being tagged an 'album of the week'.
